Most people know walking is good for one’s health. Many health experts recommend people walk at least 10,000 steps—or approximately five miles—each day. Click to see what 10,000 steps looks like in 26 of the nation’s largest cities across the country!

UnitedHealthcare Motion™ is a wellness program in collaboration with Qualcomm Life that links financial incentives to the use of wearable devices. By meeting daily walking benchmarks related to Frequency (300 steps in five minutes; six times a day), Intensity (3,000 steps in 30 minutes), and Tenacity (10,000+ total daily steps), program enrollees earn financial incentives of up to $1,500 per year.
